Bookkeeper I

Essential Functions:

  • Accurate Data Entry: Efficient, precise data entry of financial transactions.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Ensuring accurate transaction recording through statement reconciliation.
  • Record Maintenance: Managing basic financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, invoices, and receipts.
  • 10-Key Proficiency: Demonstrating fast, accurate 10-key data entry.
  • Financial Documentation: Organizing and filing financial documents.
  • Effective Communication: Collaborating with the team to resolve discrepancies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in 10-key data entry.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Knowledge of bank and credit card statements, bank reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with accounting software/tools.
  • Effective team communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or relevant coursework.
  • Prior data entry or administrative experience.
  • Familiarity with software like QuickBooks.
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles.
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills.
  • Team-oriented work experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.

Physical Requirements:

  • The job may require extended sitting, computer/phone use with hand/wrist motion, occasional standing/walking, and verbal communication.
  • Infrequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting may be needed. Lifting up to 25 lbs may be required.
